WRITING FOR THE WEBSITE |
|
|
|
Not For Tourists is scouring the globe looking for non-fiction
writers to contribute to our website. At this point, we are only looking for contributors to the cities for which we publish guides—Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles,
New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington DC, and London (coming fall '08). We have two sections where we need non-fiction editorial pieces—On Our Radar and Features.
Chances are that you’re writing about your city anyway. This is an opportunity for
you to get paid (a small amount) and also get some exposure. Your pieces will be
published with your profile page on the NFT website. We plan on expanding our website in the near future, so check back for future updates on new positions that might become available.
Currently we have openings for Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, and Washington
DC.

If you make a significant contribution (to be determined by the editors) to the
updating of any of our guides, you’ll be compensated by receiving two copies of
the new guide when it is published, as well as a “contributor” credit in the book.

Intern |

We are currently considering applications from those interested in completing an
internship in our New York Office in one (or more) of four areas of our organization:
Office and Administration; Sales and Marketing; Graphics; and Editorial. The internship
can either be completed independently or, if you're a student, through your educational
institution in exchange for course credit. Course credit is only possible if your
educational institution grants credit for work experience. Credit must be arranged
in advance with your school. Interns are required to make a commitment to the position
for 14 weeks (or one semester). A small stipend will be paid to cover expenses such
as travel and food. To apply,
